We looked out over the sea of faces Sunday and realized again how very lucky we are to be a part of this community and how blessed we are to serve this community.

Over 1200 of you registered to walk and it showed! It showed in the sea of blue shirts we saw surrounding our pink-shirted warriors and survivors during the Circle of Strength and it showed in the cheers from the crowd. We felt your energy during Chakaboom's warm-up, and the collective awe from the crowd during Aleseia's testimonial to patient advocacy and second opinions.

WOW! We are blown away by the response to this years Walk to Bust Cancer! With over 1100 Walkers and Warriors/Survivors registered, 2024 was our largest year yet. We saw it in the sea of supporters walking the Loop at Fort Hunt Park, and we saw it in the roster of awesome Sponsors (over 30!) who helped make this walk a great success!

Surviving Survivors was founded by Michele Harrison during her brave battle with breast cancer to help other women in their fight. Michele's parents, Wendy and Lou Brown, honor Michele's legacy by assisting others through the Surviving Survivors Fund in her memory.
